After every home building/buying story I’ve heard over the years I can only conclude that I must have won the home buying lottery since first meeting Colby at the house. I was struck by how informative the first overview was, and how I didn't have to fish for details about every nuance of the construction, materials, and choices that went into the design. And throughout the entire process until and even after I moved in, I was amazed by the flexibility, professionalism, and attention to details I was met with. We hired Stratified Solutions on very short notice to remodel our kitchen after it sustained water damage, and we couldn't be happier with the result! Colby and Claire were both flexible, scheduling work days around our schedule, and incredibly responsive at all hours. They have a remarkable eye for detail and style, taking our unformed thoughts about what we wanted and shaping them into a beautiful kitchen.

From variable counter overhangs dimensions to custom millwork, schluter edges on tile, scribe molding, custom cabinets, low-profile under cabinet lighting, and custom lit open shelves, Colby had dozens of great ideas and the skill to execute on all of them. When the work of subcontractors wasn't up to his specifications (even in minor details I would overlook) he would call them back repeatedly to make it right, and at no cost or hassle to us. He is also remarkably forthright and honest, and when complications arose he gave us two or three options to move forward with: all of them more than fair, and never pressuring us into a decision we weren't comfortable with. Stratified Solutions also made reimbursement with insurance over our water damage (quoted out in a separate work order) a breeze.

Our kitchen looks beautiful, functions like a dream, and every week we change our mind about which new part is our current favorite feature (right now it's the silgranit sink placement relative to the dishwasher and garbage pullout). In 2015, Colby came to work for me as my site construction manager, handling all the day-to-day site management of building our new homes.
